Ocean is my passion, love and obsession. 

Born in Ukraine to Romanian and Ukrainian parents I received my degree in Marine Engineering in Ukraine, studied and lived in Poland and Germany before moving to the United States. I am fluent in 4 languages.

Traveling and adventure is always part of my life.

Ocean...is a miraculous thing, sometimes you have to find something so interesting that it will take your entire attention and “breath” away. Ocean helped me to heal….

It all started with apnea/free diving classes and fascination with the Underwater World of Wonders.

Underwater photography besides theory, requires a lot of patience, knowledge about aquatic life behavior and of course a little bit of luck :). All photos are taking on one breath during apnea/free diving sessions.

The life underwater is all about survival, the more slowly and non-threatening you move, the more you are part of the environment, less threatening you are and more chances of sometimes an unexpected encounter you are going to experience. 

When asked what is my favorite destination, it it difficult to say because sometimes the most interesting encounter could be experienced at my home reef, alone, undisturbed, watching for hours an octopus until it will get used to you and doesn't consider you being a danger, then the real magic is going to happen.

Probably the most magical so far, besides of course experiencing the enormous and so gentle humpback whale, was to be touched by an octopus. I was hanging around the same guy for an hour, finally he came out and showed off all his colors, camouflage etc…My hand holding to the rock was so closed to him, i saw him slightly tapping my hand with it’s arm.... Magic!

I am feel blessed being able to do what I love the most.

To spend time in the Ocean, to see the amazing beauty of our underwater world which we should protect for us and the generations to come and to share its beauty with other people.
